DAQ .575 Carbine 20" Barrel
« on: August 19, 2018, 03:32:37 PM »
Just got one of these last night.  Shooting 277gr balls I get two shots averaging 450fpe and gun is empty of air from 3200psi.  Has anybody found a hammer spring that isn't quite as stout, maybe 5 each 750fps shots or so?  And it is very hard to cock.  But talk about a blast, it blew the front cover off of my competition electronics chronograph.  If the barrel is the same as the 14" pistol barrel, I will see how the 20" does on the pistol that I use as a carbine anyway.  Regards, Tom

Dennis says 3100-3200 fill should give you two shots and have maybe 500 psi left.

Watch out for that bolt. Make very sure it’s always locked in place.

It is a hoot to shoot!

I had to move my Chrony about 10-12 feet away to keep from blowing the diffusers off.

The diffusers are explosion proof on mine, I used it with the .73 Quigley I used to have at 4500psi two feet and they never blew off.  I did have to put a weight on the close leg of the tripod though.  Regards, Tom
