I've seen that device before.... It certainly looks like it will do a good job.... I cut my crowns at 90* to the bore in a lathe, and protect them with either a ridge around the outside of the muzzle (a recessed crown), or with a muzzle brake or air stripper....

I sent the company an email, just to make sure the pilots will fit into an airgun barrel. At $370 for two pilots, and the chamfer cutter is worth the expense to me. And, I have a nearby air gunner who needs to redo one of his .22 powder burners.

I'm sure I'll buy it, and I will report back on my success.
