Air Venturi Compressor
« on: May 01, 2017, 05:45:25 PM »
I ordered an Air Venturi Compressor through PA, but it is on back order.  Now Having done more research, I am wondering if I might now cancel that order and get the Air Charger.  So far a lot of good posts on the Omega, but not a lot of info on the Air Venturi.  Any comments or advice?  I have about a week before I have to make up my mind.

I have an Air Charger, and I have no complaints. It is on a 15 amp circuit without issues, unlike some others I've heard about.

I have an Omega compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your portable tank as a courtesy.

I'm thinking about the AV Compressor.  Can't see not tossing the extra for a stand alone unit that is faster if I can just make myself pull the trigger.  I think it will be a lot easier to do when I actually have a big bore eating air. Right now my WARP is regulated to 2000 psi so I can fill for days on a tank.  so far all holding off has done is made a lot more options available at lower costs.

This sort of exemplifies the comments I made a few weeks ago. (SIC) If I had purchased and all-in-one compressor when I first got into PCPs, I would have saved myself hundreds of dollars. And this doesn't address the frustrations along the way either, which were bigger than I thought they would be.

I have the air venturi compressor and so far I love it. Fills very fast and makes shooting so much fun. I don't agonize over shooting too much. (Except running out of pellets) Makes tuning the guns so much  better also. If you have the money, get it. No complaints so far.

+1 Great for the price so far.  I emptied and filled 2 tanks to see what it would do on a hot humid day and it only produced a little moisture. out the drain.  Great choice on my part.
