Picatinny Slot Range
« on: March 29, 2017, 02:08:32 PM »
I sure wish the Scope Manufacturers and the Resellers of Scopes included proper measurements of scopes, and usable range of Picatinny slots required for mounting. I'm forever getting a scope, and finding I have to turn around and order some new adapter or a different set of rings. Just about drives me nuts.

Depends on the scope. For example, the short UTG Sniper scope has no more than 2 inches fore and aft adjustment (typically less), depending on the rings used. The longer version has almost 3 inches fore and aft, so it fits a bit better. Scope which mount directly to the rail (no rings) typically have a half notch adjustment built in. Nonetheless, I agree they can be an issue.

I have an Omega compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your portable tank as a courtesy.
