Rattus Rattus Rumble Tonight
« on: October 18, 2018, 10:31:30 PM »

Watched this one for over an hour. His big brother was here earlier but I did not get a shot.

Head shot that exited it’s side.

Maybe I'm a bit sadistic... but I like hearing the gratifying sound of the pellet hitting its target.

I have an Omega compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your portable tank as a courtesy.

This one is flattening his body, and tilting his head. They appear to be trying to avoid death by pellet, but Mister Sumatra and ATN are a dynamic duo!

Another one or two rats showed over night, so the population has not yet dried up. Oh goody. What I’m not seeing are mice. Last year we had a population explosion.

I haven't seen any meeses since spring myself.
Shot a huge rat last week and for some reason haven't seen any rats for the last 4-5 days. They'll be back soon I imagine.
Buncha BB guns that I don't get to shoot as much as I like. Building duck boats now that I'm "retired".

Just an occasional mouse. I had all that rat activity, and now they've greatly slowed down. I think I have two different ones visiting on the top feeding station, but they dash in for 15 seconds and split, not to be seen the rest of the night. I think the visiting cat, possums, skunks and raccoons have them spooked. Oh, and the owls have been every present. Three owls triangulating in the backyard has all the critters skeered.
