.22 bbt hp water jug test
« on: May 04, 2017, 09:09:13 PM »
Shot the .22 bbt hp, 28 grain I received from Rick Morrill today. Set up three water jugs and turned down the power on my jkhan noblesse because I did this in my back yard and had no idea what to expect. Erring to the side of caution I put some 4x4 behind them and a higher hill in the back drop. Turns out there was no need. I shot this at 875 fps @ 25 yards. Went into one jug and stayed there. Lost a small piece and put it at 27 grains.  I can run these up over 950 but im not sure I would get any better expansion.  Im really impressed with the expansion of these at this speed. Nice varmint round for sure.

Because of your recommendation Daniel, I got an order of both the 30g & 28g HPs from Rick. Nice looking BBTs. I haven't chronied them through my .22 Rainstorm yet. Rick is a good guy to deal with. Thanks for the heads up.   :)

At the moment this is what I have. I think this was 50 yards, open retical .. not a scope. Both the hp and the fp almost identical.

Sweet! Rick is definitely a stand up guy. Those should shoot very well out of your rainstorm.
